Introduction to Model Based Systems Enigneering with Capella-Cohort 3

Cohort 3- 6 month access

$100 for 6-month access to eight section course with certificate of completion

Online self-directed study with live online support and contextual discussions every other week.
Facilitated by Tony Komar from Innovating with Capella.

The course introduces you to modeling with Capella the most popular open-source modeling tool for Systems and Software. The objectives of this class are that you learn:

  • To understand the connection between Innovation and Capella.

  • To appreciate how a Capella Model helps you understand a problem, and how it helps develop a solution to the problem.

  • How to download, Install, Load and Browse a Capella Model of a Product.

  • The Methodology of Capella, and how it can be applied to a problem.

  • Learn how Capella can enable innovation when a new problem brought forth by a customer.

About Your Facilitator and Course Creator

Tony Komar has been practicing and supporting systems engineering for over 35 years. His career began as a System Engineer supporting the development of engine and flight controls in the early 80’s. He led his team supporting FADEC I for CF6 engine control through FAA software certification. His research and development of flight control system based on COTS platforms, led him to work 10 in consulting in the automotive controls domain. Helping customer establish architectures for their rapidly growing software control systems. Tony joined Siemens 17 years ago and has helped customers establish requirement management and systems engineering solutions in variety of industries. Today he key contributor to the development and deployment of model-based system engineering products for Siemens Digital Industries Software. Tony holds and bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s Engineering degree in System Engineering Penn State University. He is an international speaker on the topic on Model Based System Engineering participating in 2020 Capella Day and the 2020 Complex System Design and Management (CSD&M) Paris event. Tony enjoys enabling the next generation of engineers by developing “open” hands-on training in electronics and systems engineering, and looks forward to having you join his sessions.
